2017 Spring Men's Flag Football League
Registration is open. Early registration till Feb. 22nd!
The league starts up April 22nd/23rd weekend and runs through June 24th/25th including rainout dates.
We are a weekend league with games at Randall's Island on Saturdays and/or Sundays. We will work to get the majority, possibly all, of your games on your requested time and day, but requests are not guaranteed and teams will play at a mix of days and times, as the league deems necessary.
Start times are available Saturdays from 10 am - 5 pm and Sundays regularly from 12-5 pm with limited 10 am and 11 am available some weekends.
Explaining the Divisions:
8v8 Ground - Each team has three downed lineman. O-Linemen are NOT eligible receivers. Defensive lineman need to start down but aren't required to rush. We allow open hand contact blocking that must be above the waist and below the neck. You must be facing the person you are blocking as we do not allow blocks to the back or side. To be successful, teams will need three traditionally sized lineman. QB's may take the snap under center and a running game is often used to compliment the passing game.
8v8 Air - Same open hand blocking rules as our standard 8v8 league, but linemen are ELIGIBLE RECEIVERS.
7v7 - All players are eligible receiver. We do not allow contact blocking. Similar to basketball, you work to establish a position to where the opposing player has to go around you to get to the ball. You must have 4 offensive players on the line of scrimmage to have a legal formation and the QB must take the snap directly behind the center in a shotgun formation. To be successful team usually work in short passes, trick plays, lateralls and pitches. A direct run game is difficult as you are not allowed to block. We offer this fomat in both competitive and recreational divisions.

*Teams must be paid in full by the payment deadline for discount pricing. For split fee registraiton additional fees are applied only to players that pay after the deadline.
Refund Policy -
March 24th - last day to request 100% refund (minus shirt cost if already ordered)
March 25th to March 31st - 50% refund
April 1st or later - No Refunds

2 refs for each game (unless emergency)
